☕️❄️ Hot Cocoa Counting Fun! ❄️☕️
Today our preschoolers, in Mrs. Wanstrath’s class, got busy “making” hot chocolate in the sensory bin! Using their recipe cards, they practiced number recognition and counting as they scooped chocolate, added marshmallows, found candy canes, and sprinkled in gingerbread pieces.
They loved hunting for the ingredients in the beans and checking their cards to make sure they had just the right amount! Such a fun, hands-on way to build early math skills.

Congratulations to today's Beat the Bell winners! Today, lucky number 6 was drawn! Students that are number 6 in their class and were at school on time this morning came to the office for a prize. Thanks for being at school on time!

Our 2nd grade DLI students, in collaboration with Kindergarten, took part in a meaningful day of cultural learning and creativity.
Students worked together on Día de los Muertos activities, learning about the meaning behind this tradition, the importance of honoring loved ones, and the unique elements that make this celebration special—such as calaveras, bright colors, flowers, and ofrendas.
One of the highlights was painting a rock with a calavera de azúcar, giving students a chance to express their creativity while connecting with this tradition.
We are proud of their enthusiasm and collaborative spirit.
¡Vamos Tigres!

Friendsgiving at School 🧡
This week, Miss Solly’s kindergarteners partnered with Mrs. Showalter’s first graders for a special Friendsgiving celebration! Our students spent the afternoon building new friendships and practicing gratitude through shared activities.
Together, the classes enjoyed coloring with new buddies, creating “Spoons of Thanks,” making friendship bracelets, and - after reading "Enemy Pie" - mixing up their own friendship pies to enjoy. The room was full of laughter, collaboration, and the sweetest moments of kindness.
It was a wonderful way to welcome the Thanksgiving season. Our hearts (and tummies) left very full! 🧡

After wrapping up an ELA unit for Cycles in Nature, Mr. Seymour’s 2nd graders engaged in an exciting activity focusing on bees playing a vital role in pollination. As they flew from flower to flower, they used Cheeto dust to represent the pollen traveling from one petal to the next. They seemed to enjoy the buzzzzzy process!!

Who knew learning about the Earth could taste so delicious?! 💚
